Kripalu Retreat...and more

Namaste Everyone...

I hope you are well and enjoying Spring!
I am now back home after a lovely trip to California where we participated in the first Encinitas Kirtan Festival with Shantala (www.shantala.com) and many other wonderful Kirtan artists. We also made a stop for a blissful Kirtan in Los Angeles at Exhale Center for Sacred Movement in Venice. I am now home enjoying some time with Mira and relaxing over this very beautiful memorial day weekend. Yoga on the deck, home-cooked food and time with family...what could be more!

I also just completed making my new CD which I am quite excited about. It is a journey of joy filled chanting, musical textures, lively grooves and songs in celebration of Spirit! I must say I can hardly stop listening to it. So many great musicians and singers graced this recording. Producer, Frank Wolf (Lotus Feet) was at the helm...and of course Mira's angelic voice is everywhere! It is due out this fall on Nettwerk Records (www.nettwerk.com) who has created a new devotional label called Nutone. In addition to mine, Nutone will also release the latest CDs of Krishna Das, Wah and Wade Morissette. So, look out...a wave of new Kirtan is on the way!

I wanted to also remind you all of the 4 - day Kirtan and Yoga Retreat I am giving with Shiva Das at Kripalu in Massachussetts at the end of June. The retreat will include two sessions a day filled with Kirtan and Yoga, an evening Kirtan for all of Kripalu, delicious food, all the wonderful Kripalu yoga classes and bodywork options and set in the majestic Berkshire Mountains...which are simply gorgeous this time of year.

I am reading a poignant book entitled "The Omnivore's Dilemma" by Michael Pollan. It is an eye opening and powerful study of the US food industry. I highly recommend it!
